This presentation will provide a practical overview of how inspections by OSHA are initiated, what employers can expect when a compliance officer arrives, and how the inspection process unfolds—from the opening conference and facility walk-around to employee interviews, closing conferences, and potential citations. Attendees will also learn about employer rights, the post-inspection process (including contests through the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission), and proactive strategies organizations can use to prepare management teams, maintain proper documentation, and confidently navigate inspections while supporting a strong workplace safety culture.
